Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor to Star in ‘102 Not Out’
102 Not Out is an upcoming Indian Hindi comedy-drama film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor in the lead roles. This film is based on a running Gujarati play written by Saumya Joshi by the same name and is being directed by Umesh Shukla.
The best veteran actors from India, Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor, perform in "102 Not Out", a comedy about life. Sony Pictures International Productions India has edited the film as a co-producer and global distributor.
Umesh Shukla ("OMG Oh My God!") Leads and co-produces through his Benchmark images, alongside Treetop Entertainment and Sony.
The film is based on a piece by Gujarati by Saumya Joshi, about a love story between father and son. Joshi wrote the adapted script. "The idea to adapt the game to Hindi comes from the fact that the relationship between a parent and a child is universal and the one where love replaces everything else, including age!" Amitabh Sir and Rishi Gentlemen together are a dream cast for everyone, "Shukla said.
Not for the first time in her career, superstar Bachchan has to use prosthetics and makeup to significantly change her age - in 2009, the comedy "Paa" Bachchan is obsolete. In "Not Out", he plays a 102-year-old man, father of a 75-year-old man (Kapoor). The pair played together 27 years ago in "Ajooba".
The film is scheduled for May 4, 2018 and Sony begins its marketing campaign by linking a trailer to 'Pad Man', his controversial biopic released in India and international territories from Friday.
Sony is one of the leading Hollywood actors in India, and "102 Not Out" is the latest in a long production strategy expanded by Sony in India. Sony Pictures International Productions India co-produced 'Padman', while Sony Pictures Networks Productions' supports the sports drama 'Soorma' on the turbulent life of field hockey player Sandeep Singh.
