When the Sundar  directed the comic Kalakalappu 2 after the announcement of the epic  Sangamithra, the reports made tricks that put the magnum opus on the back burner.

Khusbu Sundar, however, had fiercely denied the rumors and confirmed that Sangamithra, according to Kalakalappu 2, would begin according to the plan.

At the recent Kalakalappu 2 multi-stadium press conference, Sundar C explained why it took so long to put forward his most ambitious project. 
"We have been working on the screenplay for almost 18 months, Sangamithra has not been integrated, it is still in production, the film is currently in the pre-production phase and as soon as we finish with the script, we will go to the filming stage, the Sangamithra process is very different, and once the script is executed, we put it in the storyboard.observing the example, then we proceed to the creation of elements.

Samamithra requires many tasks: in the recent movies loaded with VFX, they first recorded the film and then worked on the graphic part, the main graphic parts in the first place, and then on the process, easier to make, the film starts rolling from April or May, "said Sundar C.

After the release of Shruti Haasan, the officials had called on Disha Patani, who played one of the female protagonists of the superhitbiopic drama MS Dhoni: the unpublished story, in the lead role. Disha Patani is already fighting for the film, funded by the Mersal producer, Thenandal Studios Limited.

Arya and Jayam Ravi play the protagonists of the film, which revolves around the trials and tribulations of Sangamithra and meticulous efforts to protect his kingdom. AR Rahman was signed to compose music for the project.

Sundar C is currently working on the last part of her upcoming album Kalakalappu 2, which includes actors such as Jiiva, Jai, Shiva, Nikki Galrani and Catherine Tresa. Hiphop Tamizha composed the music for the film, which will be on screen January 26 or February 9.
