Sardar Udham Singh is an upcoming biographical film in Indian Hindi directed by Shoojit Sircar produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar and written by Ritesh Shah and Shubhendu Bhattacharya under the banner of Rising Sun Films and Kino Works.

 The film features Vicky Kaushal as Udham Singh, a revolutionary freedom fighter best known for the revenge murder of Michael O'Dwyer, former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab in India, March 13, 1940, in London.

 from the Jallianwala Massacre at Bagh at Amritsar in 1919, for which Singh was later tried and found guilty of murder, and hanged on July 31, 1940.

The film was announced on March 4, 2019, by film critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh ​​on his Twitter account and revealed the details of the film.

Just over a month after Mr. Lele Varuna Dhawan was announced, director Shashank Haitian confirmed that the film has been "postponed" indefinitely following a mutual decision between him, Varun, and producer Karan Johar. 

In a statement on his social media accounts, the director stated that Mr. Lele was suspended because the dates could not be determined with the actors. "Hi everyone, here's an update on Mr. Lele. 

Karan, Varun, and I decided to postpone the filming of the film by mutual agreement. This is a script we all love, and I'm sure I'll be back soon. But the schedule for the movie has become very tough because the movie has a solid ensemble and the dates just don't match, ”Shashank Haitian said in a statement. 

His message appears to be a quick response to the suggestion that Mr. Lele is put on the shelf who spent rounds on the Internet on Thursday morning.

Varun Dhavan has rewritten Shashank Haitan's post:

"I am sure that Varun and I will be working together soon, either with Mr. Lele himself or with something new, since working with him has always been the most joyful and useful experience in my life," he added. 

Mr. Lele marks Varuna's third collaboration with the director after collaborating with him in the Sharma Key Dulhaniya Humpty Dummy 2014 and Badrinath Key Dulhaniyah 2017.
