Kesari first look: Akshay Kumar is ready for war, in the third film about the Battle of Saragarhi.
Akshay Kumar has shared the first look of his upcoming film on the Battle of Saragarhi, Kesari.
The first look of Akshay Kumar star Kesari, based on the battle of Sargarhi, was revealed on Friday morning. Akshay has the appearance of a Sikh warrior in the picture.
The battle took place in 1897 between the British Indian Army and the Afghan Orakzai tribe in the North West Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan).
Sharing the first look, Akshay tweeted, “Feeling nothing but immense pride and gratitude while sharing this. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film will hit theatres on Holi 2019.
Apart from Kesari, there are two other Hindi films in the pipeline.
Randeep Hooda is also working on a film on the same subject and his name is Battle of Saragarhi. Rajkumar Santoshi directs the film and the first look was also revealed last year. "The 40-year-old actor will be seen on the role of Havildar Ishar Singh in the film.Ajay Devgn is also making another film on the same subject - Sons of Sardaar: The Battle of Saragarhi.
Akshay, who is busy experimenting with roles with each passing film, has yet again picked an interesting storyline for his forthcoming film. With Padman, Gold and 2.0 in his kitty this year, Khiladi Kumar will be seen in a new avatar in Kesari.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the film is set to hit the screens on Holi 2019.
