Sharma returns to the director's presidency with Genius, a romance of action, after a period of three years. He last headed Singh Sahab the Great, who had Deol in the lead role.
"I was only screaming for him, Utkarsh because a person is very sincere in everything and has a lot of potential, I thought he could deliver," said the director at PTI.
The beginner, who played as a child in Gadar, in the role of Deols son, plays IIT-topper in Genius.
Interestingly, Sharma initially wanted him to follow the technology, but his son, who convinced him of his interest
in a career in movies.
"Utkarsh has all the qualities of a good actor, he's the one who told us he wanted to pursue movies with passion"
he said.
"When he was in the United States and studied film, I worked on the script Utkarsh thought it was too early for him, but then

However, Sharma has confidence in her son's career because he believes in the hard work of the 22-year-old actor.

Asked about the rest of the cast, the filmmaker said he had yet to finalize and that the film could contain a new girl in front of Utkarsh.
The director chose to keep his mother when asked if there was a small appearance of his frequent employee, Deol in the

About a three-year break from management, Sharma said, "I usually do movies in a year or two, but then
Singh Sahab the Great, I went to the United States and gained experience traveling around the world and noticing changes. I wanted to take a break from work and that's why I left. "
Genius will go upstairs in November. It is shot in Mathura and Delhi.
